XBR Patch Pack V5
Package Created By Belenos originally created by XeDev
[cOz]
Thanks to PorchMonkey and any involved with XexMenu, Freestyle Dash, Dash Launch
What it does:
Waits for bootanim to finish, then launches a xex or con as defined in ini file and makes Console Region Free*
* note: Region Free will only work on xex files so xbox 1 game are unaffected as they are xbe files you will also notice you cant install “out of region” games via the NXE but you can use iso2god on them and they will work that way.
A new version of freeBOOT v0.03x has been released (a patched-9199 rebooter for all JTAG-exploitable 360s).
What’s new/fixed:
* fixed profile corruption
* fixed xb1 emu
* updated xellous
General Features:
* updated to kernel 2.0.9199
* now supports all consoles and flashing solutions (ikari)
* removed memory protections
Code can be executed and modified anywhere in the range from 0×80000000 to 0x9FFFFFFF. This can be used to create game trainers and will allow for porting of emulators, which rely on dynamic compilation.
[2 different patches 1 with this: xbox1 emu doesn't, 1 without xbox1 emu does work]
* encrypted DevKit XEXes are now working
* includes dash launch patch
* LIVE/PIRS/GOD content fully working
* internal security breach reports deactivated (Redline99)
* easier image generation process (ikari)
* ibuild can now also generate single flash XeLL and original images (ikari)
A bit more info about the fixes/changes in this release:
[QUOTE]
This is a fixed set of patches for freeBOOT 0.031. It addresses profile corruption and Xbox 1 emulator compatibility. Unfortunately, you will need to choose between the functionality of the memory protection patch and the ability for full compatibility with Xbox originals, you cannot have both. Two sets of patches have been included, you may use the ones that fit you best. Profile corruption has been fixed completely, but understand that if you have anything previously signed by a banned keyvault, the container will be console locked to it (corrupted). There are a number of free tools to fix those profiles, but you should notice that the console is no longer rejecting containers from everything but itself. Possibly these patches can fix E79 issues (dashlaunch changes), but since we have not experienced any similar issues, it’s hard to test.
To those experiencing frequent or sporadic E79 issues (specifically on Zephyrs), it has been reported that using this alternate wiring with voltage regulation may solve the issue: see here

[v0.03 - coded by ikari]
I. Introduction
================
freeBOOT is a rebooter for the Microsoft Xbox 360. This version of freeBOOT
allows you to reboot into kernel 2.0.9199 on all Xenon, Zephyr, Falcon, and
Jasper consoles, which are vulnerable to the JTAG hack.
This version of freeBOOT no longer requires a second flash memory and will
thus work with all currently existing solutions.
II. Bug Fixes
=============
none
III. New Features
=================
- updated to kernel 2.0.9199
- now supports all consoles and flashing solutions (ikari)
- removed memory protections (cOz)
Code can be executed and modified anywhere in the range from 0×80000000
to 0x9FFFFFFF. This can be used to create game trainers and will allow
for porting of emulators, which rely on dynamic compilation.
- encrypted DevKit XEXes are now working (cOz)
- includes dash launch patch (cOz)
- keyvault and console signature checks have been disabled (Bliep4Ever)
- LIVE/PIRS/GOD content fully working (cOz)
- internal security breach reports deactivated (Redline99)
- easier image generation process (ikari)
- ibuild can now also generate single flash XeLL and original images (ikari)
IV. Instructions
================
In contrast to previous freeBOOT releases, the image generation process has
been made a lot easier. As prerequisites you will need an image of your
console updated to kernel 2.0.7371 and an archive “9199.zip” available
at the usual places.
1. Extract your original image
Extract your original 7371 image with the following command:
> ibuild.exe x -d temp\ -p <cpu key> -b <1bl key> .\7371.bin
2. Extract “9199.zip” archive
Extract the contents of the “9199.zip” archive into the “data”
directory.
3. Copy these files from “temp” to “data” directory
- crl.bin
- crl.bin.meta
- extended.bin
- extended.bin.meta
- kv.bin
- odd.bin
- odd.bin.meta
- secdata.bin
- secdata.bin.meta
- smc_config.bin
4. Patch SMC
Put a patched “smc.bin” in the “data” directory. For Cygnos360, a
patched SMC can be created with their software. There’s also a
collection of patched SMCs available at the usual places. Make sure
to pick the right one for your console.
For other solutions, a patched SMC can be extracted from previously
released XeLL images.
5. Create the freeBOOT image
Finally, create your freeBOOT image with this command:
> ibuild.exe c freeBOOT -c <console> -d data\ -p <cpu key>
-b <1bl key> .\bin\image.bin .\bin\fuses.bin
Replace <console> with either “xenon”, “zephyr”, “falcon”, “jasper”,
“jasper256″ or “jasper512″.
VII. Credits
============
Thanks a lot to [cOz] and Bliep4Ever for providing most of the new
patches in this release. Without their support, this would not have been
possible.

Yesterday, Microsoft had rolled out a planned update that allows the use of USB Flash Drives to be configured as memory storage on the Xbox 360 console; this allows for profiles, gamesaves, downloadable content and even games to be installed on any compatible USB memory device. All Xbox Live users will have to apply the update whether they want this feature or not as it is a mandatory installation.

The update brings the following memory enhancements:
* You can have 2 devices connected to the console at a time, enabling up to 32GB of simultaneous storage.
* The system won’t just configure the device once it is connected to the console. You’ll need to head to the memory area in system settings, select your USB Device, and choose from Configure Now (Format and Configure the Full Device), or Customize (you can choose how much memory you want configured for Xbox360 from the free space on the device.)
* You can now select multiple items to move or copy without needing to transfer each item individually from one device to another.
It has come to the attention of modding groups that once the Xbox 360 associated files are saved on a USB memory device they appear unreadable on any computer, with the folder list displaying itself as empty. Futher investigation by the group has revealed that a folder named XBOX360 is kept hidden, and all Xbox 360 transferred items contained within it are stored together grouped in files that are unable to be individually extracted. With the current USB update, Microsoft has made saved content more difficult to access than previous memory card methods which was to simply insert the card into a device that plugs straight into your computer and copy it across using drag & drop. Folders are now encrypted files, and content transferred to USB memory from the Xbox 360 are stored within the files together rather than listed individually as numbered content.

Within just a few hours of the update, a member of the modding group is already claiming to have hacked the security methods on the files to try and create a program that extracts content to a PC desktop.
Hey all, as soon as the update came out, I was sad to see there was no way to mod, so I have been busy writing C# and have finally made a tool for the job, it is not finished yet but I want to show my progress.
Edit: Having a problem with the Themes and Avatar Items..
Edit2: I just rang my friend up, he is coming over in a min to help me.
Edit3: My friend is here, we are investigating.
Edit4: Ok so.. the Themes are kept in Data0003 and Avatar Items in Data0002.. Wtf?
Oh well we are working on a patch to merge the files together.Once such a program is made public, anyone with basic computer knowledge can start sharing gamesaves for modification including gamerpics and themes just for starters! In the coming months we could see an increase in scams for MS points or possibly even the resale of gamerpics and themes from the more entrepreneurial of hackers!
Remember to keep your account details safe at all times, and that modifying content could result in account suspension.

A hacked version of the Xbox1 Backwards Compatibility v5829 (November 2007) has been leaked!!
I’ve attempted to remove any limits on the emulator, although i left in game ratings checks in case you dont want your little ones to play violent games
![]()
This can be toggled in the dashboard anyway. The following hacks were done to the emulator:
* Xbe signature checks removed (lets you run unsigned code)
* Xbe section hash checks removed (lets u run hacked xbes)
* Game region checks removed (region free baby!)
* Game media checks removed (play games from your hard drive)
* Debug/Devkit xbes supported (run your own xbox1 code)
* Attempt to play unsupported games (doesn’t mean it will work hehe)To install this, copy the Compatibilty folder to your devkits Y drive.
You may want to remove any existing files, although this should overwrite all files.
