In showing off the April 6th update, Major Nelson posted a screenshot which indicated there was 293GB of hard drive space left on the Xbox 360. This has sparked rumors that MS will debut a 300GB hard drive.
And yes we know there is every possibility this is a dev kit! Thanks http://abstract360.com/2010/03/new-x…nnounced-soon/
Update: If you look at major nelsons website you will see that he has the driver in his post
Hard drive, memory card , and a usb driver :http://majornelson.com/archive/2010/03/26/USB-Memory-Support-for-the-Xbox-360-coming-April-6th.aspx
No big surprise here, but Microsoft is bringing its full Project Natal setup to the E3 games show in LA this year, with a “world premiere” event on Sunday, June 13th, followed by a media briefing on Monday the 14th. It’s good to know they’re on track for showing this off, after a no-show at the PlayStation Move-dominated GDC, and we’ll of course be there in force, waving our arms around like we just don’t care. From the looks of our invite, which puts the name “Project Natal” in quotes, we’re not convinced that’s even the final name for the device, but we suppose we’ll find out for sure in June. Microsoft promises this will be our “first look at the future of fun,” and we imagine some near-final hardware and beta game experiences will be on display as well. No word in the invite, but we imagine a Fall launch is still in the cards, with Jonathan Ross’s “October” tweet as the most recent morsel on that front.

Known for his 360 console mods Ben Heck discusses the leaked 360 slim motherboard and answers some questions about some features you may be wondering about. Interestingly he’s analysed various components of the ‘leaked’ pictures and indicates that it is possible that an Xbox 360 Slim may have an internal HD if the leaked pic is true. “Ben Heck, told us that if the leaked Slim motherboard is legitimate, not only does he see no place for memory cards (lending even more credence to USB storage for data transfer), but he dropped on us the idea that it may also have an internal hard drive”
So some details have been released on how much space is needed for Project Natal. Apparently you will need an area extending at least 13 feet away from the TV. The field of vision for the device is about 4 meters wide and 2.7 meters high which isn’t too bad at all (nearly 9 feet).

What is the NANDFlasher?
THE FIRST PROFESSIONAL TOOL FOR ALL YOUR XBOX 360 HOMEBREW NEEDS !!
The nandflasher is basically a JTag device that lets you read and write to the X360 NAND. This requires an Exploitable console. Hmm, is my console xploitable? Well if you have a dash kernel before 8xxxx and the console was manufactured before Jun 18, 2009, then you most likely can use this device.
The product is scheduled to ship on March 26 with a retail price around USD $45. The 360 NAND Flasher will be available in two flavors; one with plastic shell (translucent-blue) and the other with clear heat-shrink plastic. The kit also includes a wiring system which will greatly reduce the install time

Unfortunately, IGN has given the founder of TeamXbox the boot as well as a number of other staff. This is a very unfortunate event but the founder of the site notes to be too hasty towards IGN as his site probably would’ve been gone way back in 2003 if they didn’t pick it up. Like many companies, IGN is also finding itself in a tough position right about now.
Look, this all sucks. I hate it more than any of you can possibly imagine.
This has been a long, hard but eventful road for me.
Do you people realize that this year marks the 10th anniversary of TeamXbox.com? Sad that this is happening in its 10th year of existance but whatever.
No this wasn’t something I really saw coming so to speak, but thinking back there where signs and we’re all aware that TXB hasn’t really been what it once was at it’s peak for some time now.
I’m not going to bother getting into all the logistics, politics or red tape behind those things, but it’s safe to say that things haven’t been running tip top for a while and the eventual demise was inevitable.
That said, before everyone goes saying we saw this coming soon as IGN bought TXB…let me assure that if IGN had never come along when it did and purchased us…we’d have been closed by the end of summer 2003.
Serenity and I had gone through a divorce in 2002, neither of us had any money to keep the site going and we were up to our eyeballs and then some in debt. The site was on it’s last leg then and IGN came along at the right time to keep it going.
Granted I wish some things could have gone down differently over the years, but it is what it is and that’s that.
You guys really can’t imagine what this place has meant to me over the years. It’s as much a part of me as anything in my life.
Through all the crap and even some of you who continually drive me crazy, I still love it all and I really never wished to do anything else but this.
Sadly, that has come to an end because of reasons beyond my control. Bottom line is money. The economy sucks and IGN is cutting back like a lot of companies are and they let people go.
From their point of view, TXB is not IGN.com. They did what they had to do and I can’t do anything about it.
From here, who knows what I’ll be doing next. I’d love to rebuild a new site and start fresh, but that’s a lot easier said than done, specially now. My head is still spinning and I don’t think I’ve fully grasped it all just yet. I know this sounds lame, but it feels like someone very close to me died and I’m not quite ready to let go. But eventually I have to. Just posting this is killing me right now because it’s something I never wanted to have to do and even now this place doesn’t feel like it did when I woke up this morning.
I don’t know what I’ll be doing in the future, but I’ll never give up. I’m going to try to see if I can get this place back somehow, but that could be complicated since FOX owns IGN, who owns TXB…but we’ll see.
Other than that, I can’t predict the future.
But seriously, and genuinely from the bottom of my very soul, I greatly appreciate everything you guys have done over the years to support this place and I thank each and every one of you for making it what it had become. It means more to me than you can ever know. I am who I am today because of this place and without you it never would have happened.
(And please, stop asking me if this is an April Fool’s joke. It is not. This is real as it gets. This is my life.)
