The image right is unmistakeable: 3D gaming on an Xbox 360 with the help of an LG 3D television. From the looks of the Korean press release, LG and Microsoft have entered into a memorandum of understanding to jointly market LG’s new 3D telvisions along side 3D-capable Xbox 360 games in South Korea, then later expand the partnership throughout the Asia Pacific region. If we’re reading this correctly then it appears set to begin by bundling Xbox 360 3D games with LG 55/47LX9500 LED televisions sometime at the end of June. In other words, we’re not seeing anything specific claiming new Xbox 360 hardware, just like we’ve seen on the PS3.

FSD 2.0 r643

I did finally figured out some stuff that been anoying us for a while yesterday!
There was a random freezing issue in the boot process and the game list was behaving really weird (games with no title…).
This being fixed will really change FSD 2.0 development to 2nd gear!

Another issue that i fixed yesterday is the string convertion problem : remember those gamelist screenshot with some square instead of special char?
This was caused by a bad string to wide string convertion. We were still using the code from original author, and while it work, it doesnt support special char.

This is not XBR4, but it’s what most likely be like when/if released.

XBR3-2-FreeBootv0.032 Convertion Patch v0.5

I decided to make this for some n00bs out there who are so eagerly waiting for
XBR4… which will end up being FreeBoot 0.3x anyways.

What is this?

Simple. PPF patch for XBR image that is untouched found in the usual places.
Once the patch is successful, you simple inject your rawkv.bin and rawconfig.bin
like the old times with XBR3, flash using flasher of choice and done.

You may also use Flash360 v1.0 and simple flash keeping same KV and Config (I haven’t
tested this, but it should work. Why do I mention this? Flash360 warns about freeboot
images not Zero Paired and I don’t know if it will work fine keeping your current KV
and config on NAND. It does work with XBR3 thou. Just a a heads up.)

DON’T FORGET TO REMAP BADBLOCKS YOUR SELF!!!

All features from FreeBoot v0.032 with Xbox1 Compatibility fix.

XBR Images are found in the usual Places at:

/XBOX 360/development/XBReboot/

Here are the checksum summaries for the files before and after the patch.
These were verified multiple times. “Image.bin” created with freeboot
(Keys and Config removed) is compared to the XBR3 Imaged patched with this PPF.
After, using “Nandcompare v1.3″ to make sure there are no diferences.

Here is a simple tool to make a Freeboot image

Easy freeBOOT by Sneaky Peanut

Easy freeBOOT is a simple Application which allows you to run freeBOOT using a GUI instead of command line.
Instructions
============
Firstly download freeBOOT 0.31 and the Dashboard Version 9199 from xBins

Add the ‘Easy Freeboot.exe’ to the same directory as freeBOOT

Place you nand dump in the same directory as ‘Easy Freeboot.exe’

Then rename the dump ’7371.bin’

Make sure that the ‘SMC.bin’ and the ’9199 Dash’ is in the ‘data’ folder

Run ‘Easy Freeboot.exe’

Paste your CPU Key into the text box

Then select your motherboard type either:

‘Xenon’ ‘Zephyr’ ‘Falcon’ ‘Jasper 16MB’ ‘Jasper 256MB’ ‘Jasper 512MB’

After selecting your motherboard type, hit ‘Start’

Let the program run, you should see the message “DONE, Image is under /FREEBOOTIMAGE.bin”

So today it’s 6 april and we got a new update. The new update will let you format an usb drive and make it to work with the xbox as it would be an memory card. And then some one at TL did update this on a banned xbox had he got the install to hdd back . !! Without uncripple method! Why are microsoft doing this? Don’t know but mabey they have went from bad to good

Xbox 360 product manager Aaron Greenberg recently said that the Xbox 360 will not be getting a web browser as the web browsing experience on a TV is a poor one. “you can go on the PS3 and go to Facebook and and try to navigate, but it’s an absolute nightmare.” he said

“No, we really believe that the web browsing experience on TV is a poor one, and the real magic is to take those web experiences and optimise them for the living room” he said. “That’s what we did with Netflix. So, sure, you can go on the PS3 and go to Facebook and and try to navigate, but it’s an absolute nightmare.”
“No disrespect, there’s things I love about the PS3, but that’s not one of them.” he continued. “We want the online experience to be fun and optimised for the living room, and we’ll continue to add more applications to get more richness”

A juicy rumor is floating around that Project Natal will be bundled in with a new Xbox 360 Slim. And analysts seem in agreement claiming that such a move would make sense for Microsoft in terms of market success.

Analyst Nick Parker told MCV:

“The slim version will probably include other improvements in a move to prolong the lifecycle of the Xbox 360 as a brand.

“Like anything its success will depend on its price, but of course it does make sense for Microsoft to offer a bundle with Natal.”

Microsoft is rumoured to be readying an Xbox 360 slim unit that could launch with Project Natal this year.

The trimmed-down model would arrive to help prolong the lifecycle of the console, and could be released as a bundle at retail with Natal.

Reports over a redesigned Xbox 360 surfaced earleir this month when pictures of a new motherboard appeared online, as well as rumours of Xbox 360s becoming compatible with external hard drives.

Analyst Nick Parker told MCV: “The slim version will probably include other improvements in a move to prolong the lifecycle of the Xbox 360 as a brand.

“Like anything its success will depend on its price, but of course it does make sense for Microsoft to offer a bundle with Natal.”

When asked about the possibility of an Xbox 360 slim, a spokesperson said: “Microsoft does not comment on rumour or speculation.”

2010 is set to be a major year for Xbox, with several new titles such as Halo: Reach, Fable III and Crackdown 2 scheduled for release alongside the firm’s Project Natal.

Microsoft’s European boss Chris Lewis previously told us: “2010 is set to be the biggest in Xbox history and a major year for the games industry, where we will witness a fundamental change in the way we experience and share entertainment with each other.”

The computer giant has also confirmed that Project Natal will be available before Christmas, and is likely to go on sale during November or December 2010.
